Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Job Fit Check Chrome extension ("the extension," "we," "us"). By installing or using the extension, you agree to these Terms.
What the extension does
Job Fit Check scores your resume against a job description and helps autofill job application forms using a self-learning, locally stored set of answers. Match scoring uses a third-party AI provider (OpenRouter) and your own API key. Autofill does not require AI and runs locally.
Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the resume, profile, and application data you provide. You must be eligible to use the underlying services (such as Supabase and OpenRouter) under their own terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the extension to:
- Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information on job applications.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with the extension or the services it relies on.
- Use the extension in a way that violates the terms of service of any job site, applicant tracking system, or third-party platform you apply through.
No guarantee of outcomes
Match scores, ATS compatibility checks, keyword analysis, and improvement suggestions are provided as guidance only. They do not guarantee that you will be selected for an interview, pass an applicant tracking system, or receive a job offer. Always review autofilled forms before submitting an application — you are responsible for what you submit.
Third-party services
The extension relies on third-party services, including Supabase (accounts, storage, email) and OpenRouter (AI-powered scoring, via your own API key). Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes made by these third parties.
Intellectual property
The extension, its design, and its underlying code are owned by us or our licensors. Your resume content, job description text, and any data you provide remain yours.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The extension is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension, including missed job opportunities or application errors.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the extension changes. Continued use of the extension after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
