JOB FIT CHECK
Job Fit Check ("the extension," "we," "us") is a Chrome extension that scores your resume against job descriptions and helps autofill job application forms. This page explains what data the extension accesses, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
Job Fit Check requests broad browser permissions so it can detect job application forms on any site you visit and offer to autofill them. Specifically:
| Service | Purpose | What's sent |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Account creation, sign-in, saved resumes/answers, transactional email | Account email, saved resume/profile data you choose to store |
| OpenRouter | AI-powered resume-to-job-description match scoring | Resume text and job description text, sent using your own OpenRouter API key |
Autofill itself does not require an AI model and runs locally using saved answers — it does not send form data to OpenRouter.
To use AI-powered match scoring, you provide your own OpenRouter API key. This key is stored locally in your browser's extension storage and is sent only to OpenRouter to authenticate your requests. We do not have access to your key and cannot see your OpenRouter usage or billing.
If you create an account, we store the minimum data needed to operate the extension: your email address, saved resumes or profile answers you choose to save, and your match history if you use that feature. This data is stored with Supabase, our backend provider.
You can delete your saved resumes, answers, and account data at any time from within the extension. You can remove your OpenRouter API key from extension storage at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data from your browser.
We may update this policy as the extension changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through our contact page.
